A Baby under 8 weeks is too young to be away from its mum'!

If the rabbit does not look healthy do not buy it. Always report unhealthy or sick looking animals to the RSCPA!

Best age to buy a bunny

Your rabbit should not be any less than eight weeks old when you buy it. Anything under this age is far too young and should not be away from its mother.  look carefully at the rabbit. He should have clear bright eyes,  his coat should be clean and shiny his nose should not be wet or runny. The housing should be clean and fresh.

Look around the shop you are buying your rabbit from and check for these things

1) Is the shop clean and looked after?

2) Are other animals cages clean?

3) Do the animals look lively healthy and happy?

4)  Speak to the shop owner, does  he know what his talking about,  ask him things on the animal you want to buy if he does not  know - do not buy from him.

5) If you can answear 'yes' to 1 or more of the above questions then you need to  think about buying from someone else. If you are worried always report what you have seen to the RSPCA.
