Rabbits should be handled daily to encourage them to become tame and sociable.

They should never be picked up by the ears or the scruff of the neck. Alway use two hands and then cradled against the body

Children can't be expected to handle a rabbit the way

Grooming

Rabbits groom themselves to keep their coats clean and in tip top condition. Unless you have a long haired rabbit you dont need to brush them. Grooming can be a social thing and helps get to know each other better and have nice cuddling contact.

In the summer months you may find you need to comb your bunny as the old winter coat starts to fall out.  You can comb all the lose fur and stop them getting furball  in the throat which is caused by licking the lose fur.

Handling

Some rabbit are often handled the wrong way.

To pick up a rabbit you should use two hands, one under the front of the rabbit and the other supporting his back legs left the bunny and craddle the bunny in to your body this will make your rabbit feel safe and carm never pick your rabbit up by its ears
